Details

Easier for parents. You just send your children to school. Basically you are contracting out the education of your children, so there is not too much for you to do. You don´t have to figure out everything and organize everything. That's their job.

Cheaper education. Since most countries have free government supported public schools, your education cost is less (even if you spend time helping your school do fund raising).

More money. Since both parents can earn an income, your family can earn more income.

Less worry, initially. You are giving your children the same thing everybody else is, so you won't worry whether you are giving them an education that is good enough.

Teachers. There are some great teachers out there, and most teachers really try to do a good job. I have a great deal of respect for teachers.

Recess. Some children enjoy recess.

Friends. It is possible your child will meet friends at school, and if you believe in this, put this on your pros list. However, I have found this is a much bigger pro for home schooling, for most families (I have seen exceptions to this, children with no friends, both in schools and in some home schooling families, but home schooling parents can usually do a lot more about this problem, if it occurs). So, judge whether or not you think this should be on your school pros list.
